The daily grind
Running hotspots on paper does not scale
If any of this sounds like your evening, this was built for you.
01
Codes in a notebook
A code is generated once, works once, and expires on its own. Nothing to cross out and nothing to argue about.
02
Agents who owe you money
Agents buy from a prepaid wallet before they can print anything, so there is no debt to chase at the end of the week.
03
Changing a price at every router
Set a price once. Every site follows it on the next sale, with the old price left on the record for the reports.
04
No idea which site earns
Revenue, sessions and voucher counts per site, each labelled with how current it is.
What you get
Everything to sell internet, minus the headache
One dashboard for every router, every site, and every agent you work with.
Vouchers that work like cash
One printed code is the whole login: your customer types it once and is online. No account to create, no app to install, no phone number to hand over.
Agents, prepaid or on credit
A prepaid agent tops up and generates codes against their own float. One on credit takes stock and owes you for it, keeping an agreed share of what they sell. Every naira is in a ledger that cannot be edited, so the position between you is never a matter of opinion.
It keeps selling when the link drops
Codes are pushed to the router ahead of time, so a site that has lost its uplink keeps letting paying customers online. Usage reconciles when the connection returns.
Caps the router enforces itself
A data cap and a time limit travel with the code into the router. Nothing needs to reach us mid-session for a customer to get exactly what they paid for, and no more.
Your router stays your router
A standard MikroTik with an internet connection is all it takes. No proprietary hardware, no site visit to change a price, nothing to rip out if you leave.
One business cannot see another
Every query, including the ones the RADIUS server makes directly, is filtered by business. It is the property we test hardest, because it is the one that would matter most.
One account, three ways in
Built for how the trade actually works
The person who owns the routers, the one at the till, and the agent on the street each get their own screen, and each sees only what their job needs. A technician gets a fourth: why a site is down, and nothing at all about the money.
Business
You own the routers
Run every site and agent from one place. Set the plans, watch the money.
- What you collected, and codes by site and day
- Router and session health
- Issue codes and set prices
- Top up an agent's float
Reseller
You sell the vouchers
Top up your wallet, pull stock, and sell it on at your own margin.
- Your prepaid balance
- Buy voucher stock instantly
- What you sold and what it earned
- Print a batch of slips
Counter
Your staff sell it
Somebody on the till takes the cash and hands over a code, and sees nothing about your money.
- Sell a code in a few taps
- See whether it just worked
- Your takings stay hidden
- No way to change a price
- Cafes and hotels
- Sell an hour or a day at the counter without staff handling passwords.
- Estates and compounds
- One router, many households, each paying for what they use.
- Campuses and hostels
- Thousands of short sessions, priced by data rather than by time.
- Small ISPs and agent networks
- A tree of resellers, each with their own float and their own margin.
Live in an afternoon
Three steps from router to revenue
We walk you through your first site, usually before close of business.
- 01
Connect the router
Paste one generated script into your MikroTik. It sets up the hotspot, the RADIUS client and an encrypted tunnel back to us.
- 02
Set your plans and prices
An hour, a day, a week, capped or uncapped, at whatever you charge. What your agents pay and what your customers pay are separate numbers.
- 03
Sell and get paid
Print codes, hand them to agents, or let customers buy at the hotspot with their phone. Every sale lands against the site that made it.
After the first one you add sites yourself, and the script is generated for the board you actually have.
The Vanari difference
The uplink drops. The till does not.
Most billing goes dark the moment the internet does, which is exactly when your customers still want to buy. Codes are held at the router and their caps are enforced there, so a site that has lost its uplink keeps letting paying customers online. When the connection returns, the sessions it served reconcile into your figures.

Questions
The things hotspot owners ask us first
Do I need new hardware?
No. If you have a MikroTik running RouterOS and an internet connection, you have what is needed. Older boards get a reduced feature set rather than a rejection, and the onboarding script is generated for the board you actually have.
What happens when the power or the link goes?
The router keeps authenticating the codes it already holds and enforcing their limits, because both live on the router. When the connection returns, the sessions it served are reconciled into your figures, and the dashboard marks anything it has not caught up on rather than showing you a stale number as if it were current.
Can an agent sell a code and then take it back?
No. An agent cannot reverse anything: only the business can, it credits the agent rather than the customer, and both entries stay on the ledger permanently.
Do you take a share of what I sell?
On the paid plans, no: you pay monthly or yearly for the software and every naira a customer pays for a voucher is yours. On the Free plan there is no subscription and we take 3% of every payment collected through Vanari instead, whether that is a customer buying at the hotspot or an agent topping up their wallet, so the plan costs you nothing until money has come in. It is charged once, where the payment arrives.
Can I start on Free and move up later?
Yes. The Free plan is not a trial and does not expire, so you can run a site on it for as long as it suits you. Your sites, plans and records come with you when you move up.
What if I want to leave?
Your router is a standard MikroTik and the configuration we wrote into it is readable and removable. Your customer and sales records are yours to export.
